Each year, the Erotic Art London team chooses one talented artist to recieve the prize of EAL winner, for 2025, out of all of our amazing and talented artists, Tayisiya Shovgelia was awarded the prize for ‘Best Artist EAL 2025’.

Tayisiya artist profile:
I am a London-based Ukrainian artist exploring self-expression, sexuality, and intimacy. My work challenges traditional views on vulnerability, using nudity and portraiture to examine freedom in its purest form. I encourage viewers to confront their own boundaries of intimacy, fostering open dialogue around desire, connection, and personal liberation through the human experience. My work is deeply influenced by the symbolic power of light, which represents resilience and hope amidst internal and external struggles. I am drawn to its ability to highlight both the fragility and strength of the human spirit. With each painting I create, I peel back the layers of my history, gradually shedding the false images I once clung to. It's a journey of self-discovery, a process of unravelling the misconceptions and insecurities that have long held me back. Through this artistic exploration, I invite viewers to join me in confronting emotions and embracing vulnerability. In stripping away the layers, I lay bare the raw essence of human experience, inviting others to connect with their own inner truths. Nudity in my artwork serves as a powerful symbol, challenging societal taboos and encouraging acceptance of our authentic selves. By depicting the human form in its most vulnerable state, I aim to dismantle the barriers that separate us from our true nature. Through my art, I strive to create spaces where individuals feel empowered to embrace their vulnerabilities and engage in conversations around intimacy and self-expression.
During Erotic Art London 2025, we had the joy of hosting 3 of Tayisiya’s paintings, ‘The Last Orgy’, ‘The Star’ and ‘The Empty Space’, as well as having Tayisiya helping out as a volunteer. Tayisiya’s work represents our aims and intentions of EAL perfectly.
